Good ear clips for archos 605

Good ear clips for archos 605

Postby divx118 » Sat Sep 20, 2008 4:11 pm

Am I happy mithellin dropped the manufacturers, because I didn't know where to put this :D

I have now Panasonic RP-HZE60 ear clip headphones . I very much like the design and I don't notice them when I wear them.
The sound quality could be better. They are better then the provided ones with the archos 605, but I just hoped someone could point me to something similar with better sound. The base is not as full as I want it to be with the panasonic.
BTW I don't like ear plugs.

Well that was quick, I didn't mention a price class. Indeed that wouldn't be around 300$. It may be more expensive then the ones I now have, I payed 18 euros for them a year ago. I want to go up to 40-50 euros, but they must be good and loud enough for the 605.

I use Sony MDR-EX75SL headphones. Theyre not clips, but they are the ones that stick right into your ear and block out more or less all ambient noise, meaning that the lower volume of the 605 is not such an issue as you do not need to have the volume up to deafening levels in order to drown out all other ambient sounds. Im sure there are better brands out there, but for €50 you cant go wrong!

Thanks for the link, but I really like the clips. If it isn't possible to get a decend base out of clips then I am going to try your suggestion.

I got a pair of V-modas (earbuds) from Costco for $59. Let me tell you, what a suprise. Work fantastic. Was even able to raise the crappy volume level of my 704, to a usable state.

Yesterday I stumbled upon the denon AH-C252 In-ear for 25 euro. I must say they sound very good for the money lots of bass, maybe a little to much for some people. I like the amount of bass, on my notebook it is just the right level, but on the Archos I have to enable the equalizer to lower the bass a bit. Normally on all quality audio devices I am leaving the equalizer flat. Besides the bass the high tones are also really good. Oh and they are loud.
I was a bit sceptical about in-ear head phones, however they fit very nice three sizes are included.
Offcourse what sounds good to me doesn't have to sound good for somebody else.
